This game is cute but I unfortunately couldn't get far as I have no idea why my choices were wrong. I'm trying to give a bow to the elf that has no bow, just like in the tutorial where the proficient axe doesn't have an axe. The text in the tutorial was a bit fast for me so maybe I missed something, but I didn't understand why it was an Axe of Light that you needed. I tried a few bows but don't know how to know which they'd want. I felt like maybe I need to have played DND to understand....

The enchantment that you need to pick is something that they would want/need. For example, the reason he needed a sword of light is because he didn't have any torches to light up the dungeon or a spell that does it. If they don't have any way to heal themselves they might need something that would do that for them, or if they have nothing to eat something to feed them etc. I really appreciate you trying the game!

this is a neat concept :D i got a little confused, i also clicked to fast during the tutorial so i didn't get to see the explanation of it. Maybe having the chest be unclick able during that time so the player can read and look at paper? also i think adding a away to go back and rereading the sheets before making a decision would be good, the options over the pages so i didn't remember who had what. also the crunching sounds are awesome xD

I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for the suggestions! The only reason I didn't make the chest unclickable was so if someone had already played the tutorial level they could skip it. I think letting you go back to the game after clicking the chest is something I'd like to add but I don't think I have enough time before the Jam submission deadline

I really don't understand what's the logic that determines the correct enchantment

Each level is supposed to be something that the party needs/wants but doesn't have. For example, if the party doesn't have any spells that let them fly or rope, they might want the Grappling enchant so they can reach new places. It's really hard to tell with a puzzle game if puzzles are too difficult or not solo lol.

Hi! I really like the concept of this game, but as others have mentioned I also am struggling a bit with understanding which item we are in lack of.

I'm currently playing, and I got lost at level 3, where we have Theo, the cat + some other party member(elvish rogue, gnomish barb and human fighter)

I believe that Theo the cat has ability described in a paper with title "meow", in which we have a list of enchants that are available to the party and we shouldn't even bother selecting any of them.

I try to apply logic from previous levels here, one thing that whole party lacks is same language, so I believe a correct enchantment must be "Speaking Languages", but which item?

P.S. I don't want to bruteforce the solution, but rather understand what I'm missing =]

Oh I understand the confusion. Honestly the wizard was just a cat for extra flair and I didn't think about what that would mean. The wizard being a cat doesn't matter to that level and I'm going to change it for clarity. Thanks!

I just patched level 3 as it was extremely confusing. Thanks for helping me balance it!

Thanks, will check it out again later today!

I'm afraid I don't understand how to come to the correct conclusion. Even the tutorial example is a bit vague. Is there only one correct answer? Also, it's very unfair to have to remember the sheet details (or transformations) rather than being able to refer to them during your transformation pick.

I had two Barbarians who were proficient in Axes but had axes...

I should have made the main mechanic clearer, you can move the sheets around the screen, in the one with two barbarians there is also a ranger that might have been hidden! As the game goes on the screen gets more and more cluttered and you need to sort through the sheets. There is only one correct answer for each level but if you lose you just restart the same level right away. The reason I had it so you can't leave the transform menu is that there is a timer before the Party arrives and the transform menu pauses it so I was worried that might be abusable. I'll be posting an update in a little bit with some minor fixes like text visibility and stuff, if there is anything you think should be there let me know!
